An Illinois native, Joshua started his education in photography at the College of DuPage before transferring to the Rochester Institute of Technology to finish his Bachelors Degree in Advertising Photography. Returning to Chicago, Joshua began to assist for those photographers whose work he admired. He was privileged to work with some of the best photographers in the city, expanding on the technical skills base he had built at R.I.T. After six years of assisting Joshua took a full-time position as a photographer in the eCommerce Photo Studio at Crate and Barrel. There he put what he had learned over the last decade to practical use everyday photographing housewares product and furniture for both the Crate and Barrel and CB2 brands, honing his own style along the way. After the birth of his first son, Joshua decided to take his shooting experience and start his own business as a freelance photographer. He loves the additional time he has with his family.
